Arts & Activities, Nov, 2003
Thank you for the valuable information your magazine offers. I recently returned to school to earn a master's degree in art education. My decision stemmed from my desire to teach others about the various ways to express their creativity. However, I have often asked myself: what would I teach the kids once I started class? Would I be able to maintain their attention and keep them motivated? Your magazine answered my questions.
Your "Young Artist" section became an inspiration that enabled me to realize that children are fascinated by the wonders that art has to offer. In times of a budget crisis and the constant threat of cutting art from our schools, Arts & Activities remains focused on the pursuit of excellence in art education.
Another question I pondered while taking my courses was, when do you begin teaching art history to students? I knew the lessons had to be enjoyable as well as informative. Issues of Arts & Activities from the previous two years have been a treasure chest full of ideas and tips that make me anxious to teach my first art class. Thanks again for being the light of inspiration that ensures that young people are exercising their imaginations.

Our school librarian has been subscribing to Arts & Activities for our art department for years, and I look forward to it every month. It has been a lifesaver. Keep up the great work.

Thank you for all the times I have used your magazine in teaching art. I have just retired from teaching after 31 years, and now have the time to freelance write art lessons and guest speak. I would like to write for your magazine and give examples of art lessons and projects that really work and spark kids' interest.

As a new art teacher, your magazine has been invaluable--a veritable Godsend. The ideas come out spectacularly; there is great variety. Thank you immensely. I have files of ideas from Arts & Activities dating back to 1990. I just learned of your wonderful magazine in 2001.
