Arts & Activities, April, 2004
Several sizes and styles of La Corneille Golden Taklon brushes from LOEW-CORNELL are now available with acrylic handles. Unlike wood, acrylic handles do now swell when left in water. Loose ferrules and peeling handle paint are often the result of the swelled wood drying and contracting. Each acrylic handle features a beveled end that is useful for texturing or watercolor techniques.
Currently there are nine shapes with a total of 42 sizes with the acrylic handle. (All brushes are still available with the traditional wood handle.) For more details, circle No. 395 on the Arts & Activities Reader Service Card or visit www.loew-cornell.com.
