Young artist

Arts & Activities, Nov, 2004 by Alexander Vitti

Since my feeble scribbles as an infant to my current elaborate sketches, I've always had a passion for art. I remember how in kindergarten, I could draw in three dimensions. I also remember how kids would give me stuff if I drew them a picture.

To be honest, the thing that got me started to some extent in art was boredom. When I had nothing to do, I would draw. Eventually, I became attached to the simplicity of the art of drawing.

Currently, I've started to experiment with new mediums such as chalk, pastels and paint. But still, I mostly use pencil (I prefer 3H-HB). I enjoy drawing pretty much anything, but one of my favorite things to draw is mazes.

Overall, I feel that art is one of the greater portions of life. When you are upset or worried, you can draw something and it seems to just flush all your ill feelings away. Yet, if you draw when you're happy, it seems to feed your glee and flow throughout your artwork.
