GatorFlex[TM] Graphics Arts Board from INTERNATIONAL PAPER is a new, single-sided graphics arts board that can be formed easily into durable, curved shapes. GatorFlex incorporates a special impregnated liner similar to the strong, reliable wood-fiber veneer liner used on Gatorfoam[R], the original heavy-duty graphic arts board. This liner is laminated to one side of extruded polystyrene foam, which allows the board to be used in both printing and mounting applications. Once applications are complete, the GatorFlex board may be formed into a curved shape and held in place with a preformed plastic channel system. The board may also be formed into a closed figure or into a rigid, stand-alone panel by adhering a second piece of GatorFlex to the back of the shape. Screen printing on GatorFlex is possible by using standard sheet-fed printing equipment; professional inks are recommended. GatorFlex may be painted with acrylic paints. Pressure-sensitive adhesives are recommended for use when mounting photos or prints to the board. GatorFlex can be cut with a utility knife, mat cutter or by die cutting.
