Young artist: Anastasiya Zolotukhin - second-grade student discusses art appreciation - Brief Article

Arts & Activities,  Dec, 2002  by Nancy Sams

My name is Anastasiya Zolotukhin. I was born in New York, but my family is from Ukraine. I paint because I enjoy doing it and it's fun painting the things I'm interested in, like animals, especially horses, cats and dogs. When I paint I feel like art matters to me the most. Suddenly my life stops and nothing else matters. I do art because it makes me feel happy. I have always loved art and still do, but now I love it more.

When I have time I always draw. I draw flowers, people and myself. My private art teacher's name is Judi. She helps me to draw many new pictures, and helps me to pick some of the colors for them. She also lets me draw anything I want, so I love her.
