Arts & Activities, May, 2004
Through the National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts (NFAA) Arts Recognition and Talent Search (ARTS), high-school artists from all over the country have the opportunity to share in a 83 million college scholarship package through the NFAA's Scholarship List Service. Each year, NFAA nominates up to 50 young artists to the Commission on Presidential Scholars for the chance to be named one of 20 Presidential Scholars in the Arts.
NFAA is the exclusive nominating body for selection of the artist scholars. The NFAA's mission is to identify emerging artists and assist them at critical junctures in their educational and professional development, and to raise the appreciation for, and support of, the arts in American society. To learn more, visit the NFAA Web site at: www.nfaa.org. To view the list of 20041 ARTS winners, go online to: www.artsalumni.net/ awardee04/ByState.
