Arts & Activities, Jan, 2005 by Alexander Zhu
Art is a big part of my life. I have been interested in it since I was in preschool. My grandma would sit by me and draw simple things when I was young. Since then I have practiced a lot.
I always looked forward to certain days of the week so I could go to art class. In fourth grade, I was admitted into a special art program called "VIVA Art" at school. I still practice and continue to get better.
When I sit down to draw, all my attention is focused on my art. I always carry as much of my art supplies as I can on long trips. I am always excited when I visit museums. If, in the future, any one asks me what I want to be, I would say, "I have many interests, but art is my favorite."
For the rest of my life, I do not think I will be able to go through a day without finishing a piece of art.
