The VSA (Very Special Arts) Arts Institute is an intensive professional development offering facilitated by VSA arts staff and consulting professionals who present on current practice and theory in the fields of arts, education and disability. The Institute features core sessions, guest speakers and panel presentations; workshops offering hands-on skill-building opportunities; and open art studio facilitates by master artists; daily reflective-study groups, to develop professional action plans; and private consultation with faculty. The Institute is a unique opportunity for practitioners at all levels, including teaching artists, educators, arts administrators and education administrators. The Institute is for individuals who are already invested in the arts, for learners with disabilities, and those who seek to deepen their knowledge. This is a unique opportunity to build partnerships and share learning and best practices for inclusive learning environments.
