Scholarships in political science - Searching for scholarships
Career World, Nov-Dec, 2003
You may love history and be fascinated by the early years of our country. You may have thought about how a system of checks and balances came to be--or even how the filibuster developed as a tactic. Or it may have been something as direct as witnessing or experiencing an injustice. In any case, you find you are interested in governments--how they are formed and how they work. You might even be fascinated by the theories and philosophies that underpin them.
A major in political science will prepare you for a variety of careers, from consumer advocate to historic preservationist to president. To learn more about careers in government, see the Hot Jobs article, which begins on page 22.
Be sure to visit your high school guidance office and media center for more information about colleges and universities that offer scholarships in political science.
