Ericsson to run Telfort's mobile network operations

Telfort, the Dutch unit of the British-based mobile operator mmO2, is to outsource all its mobile network operations to Sweden's Ericsson.
Telfort and Ericsson have signed a letter of intent about the outsourcing and expect to sign a definitive agreement in July. Under the agreement, the network would remain as Telfort's property and under its full control while Ericsson would take care of the daily operations and take on other tasks such as planning, design and implementation.
Telfort has also made arrangements with Ericsson for the roll out of its future third generation wireless communications network.
