Axis receives video servers order in Italy

The Swedish communications solutions provider Axis Communications AB said today (7 August) that it had received a major order for video servers from the Italian public transport company Circumvesuviana SpA.
Naples-based Circumvesuviana will use the AXIS 2400 video servers in an attempt to reduce vandalism on its property.
First stage implementations will only cover trains but if the results are encouraging then video surveillance will be expanded to the company's buses and trams, Axis said.
