Sonera to deploy Nokia technology for broadband services

The Finnish telecomms equipment maker Nokia said today (10 July) that it had signed an agreement with the telecomms operator Sonera for next-generation broadband equipment and services.
Sonera will deploy Nokia's D500 multiservice access platform for its consumer broadband services in Finland.
Nokia has already started deliveries for a test system and full-scale deliveries are scheduled for the end of September 2002.
