The Finnish telecomms equipment maker Nokia said today (10 July) that it had won an IP (Internet Protocol) networking contract from the US-based car parts supplier TI Automotive Inc.
Under the agreement Nokia will supply VPNs (Virtual Private Networks) and firewalls for protecting TI Automotive's corporate network at 40 locations in Europe.
A similar security system will be implemented in the Asia Pacific area during the second half of 2002, TI Automotive said.
No financial details were disclosed.
