The Finnish process industry machinery and systems supplier Metso Corporation announced on Friday (26 July) that it had sold its Dutch company Svedala Robot BV to American ITT Industries for an undisclosed sum.
Svedala Robot was acquired by Metso in connection with the Swedish group Svedala Industri AB in September 2001 and the divestiture is part of Metso's post-acquisition integration measures.
Svedala Robot manufactures submersible pumps and pump systems used in wastewater applications. It has some 75 employees and annual sales of approximately EUR10m.
