The Swedish telecommunications group Telia has deployed a secure web portal solution from Texas-based Entrust Inc.
The Entrust GetAccess system provides Telia's portals telia.se and comhem.se with user authentication and authorisation features. According to Entrust the solution has resulted in an improvement of the portal sites' customer service quality and user convenience, enabling Telia to expand its registered Internet customer base to over 647,000.
The value of the contract was not revealed. Entrust has provided secure portal access to Telia since 1998.
