TeliaSonera ordered to disclose fixed-line subscriber telephone numbers to Itesco

The Swedish national post and telecommunications agency PTS issued a statement today (17 April) saying that the Swedish-Finnish telecomms operator TeliaSonera could not refuse to disclose its fixed-line customers' telephone numbers to the number information services operator Itesco.
PTS said that TeliaSonera had the right to take an annual fee of SEK240,062 for providing Itesco with the information, but that it could not require further royalty payments or hinder Itesco from selling the information further.
If TeliaSonera refused to provide Itesco with the telephone numbers within one month it would be fined SEK25m, PTS said.
One Swedish krona (SEK) is worth approximately 0.08 British pounds (GBP).
