Sodra Cell AB increases softwood pulp price

The Swedish pulp maker Sodra Cell AB, part of the forest industry group Sodra, announced on Tuesday (26 August) a price increase for softwood pulps.
Sodra Cell said that from 1 September the price would be increased by USD20 to USD530 per tonne.
The price increase reflected an improved market situation and better demand for pulp, according to the company.
One US dollar (USD) is worth approximately 0.6 British pounds (GBP).
