Telenor Mobil and Visa Norge to cooperate in mobile commerce

Norwegian telecommunications group Telenor AS said today (12 February) that its mobile subsidiary Telenor Mobil had signed an agreement with Visa Norge regarding mobile commerce.
Under the agreement all Visa cardholders with Telenor Mobil subscription could sign up for the Telenor Mobil m-commerce solution MobilHandel, and use their Visa card as a means of payment.
The transaction with the customer would take place through SMS or the Internet, and the customer would have access to his Visa card after some five minutes, Telenor said.
