Ericsson receives network upgrade contract in Bahrain

Swedish telecomms solutions provider Ericsson said on Thursday (3 July) that it had received a contract to migrate Bahrainian operator Batelco's fixed network.
Ericsson will provide its ENGINE Multi-Service Network and Ethernet DSL Access solutions which will enable Batelco to integrate different types of data and voice traffic on the same network and to offer new services including third generation ADSL technology.
Implementation will start immediately. The value of the contract was not revealed.
