Ericsson signs licensing agreement with Philips

Swedish telecomms solutions provider Ericsson said today (11 June) that its subsidiary Ericsson Technology Licensing had signed a licensing agreement with Dutch electronics company Philips' semiconductor division.
Under the agreement Philips would license Ericsson's new Bluetooth baseband core, which would implement the complete range of mandatory Bluetooth 1.2 features, according to the company.
