Finnish telecomms solutions provider Nokia said on Thursday (16 October) that it had signed a contract with the Chinese telecomms operator China Unicom China Unicom Zhejiang Branch's for the expansion of its GSM network.
The deal was a part of a raft of contracts covering seven provinces with the parent company China Unicom, according to Nokia.
Under the agreement Nokia would supply its mobile switching, radio-access network infrastructure, the Nokia NetAct(TM) network and service management system.
The delivery would also include implementation, radio network planning, hardware services, optimisation, training and care services.
No financial information was provided on this contract.
