Finnish-Swedish IT company TietoEnator Corporation said on Tuesday (28 October) that the Finnish ministry of Finance had selected TietoEnator and its subcontractors VTT Information Technology and Viestinta Oy Virtuoosi as project partner for the ministry's development project to create a set of quality criteria for public network services, design a related web site and plan a quality competition.

The project would act as a springboard for a public network service quality competition that would be arranged in 2004, according to the company.

One of the main goals of the project would be to support high-quality network services, especially from the user's point of view, and the current project would continue on the basis of the workgroup's proposals and the statements received.
