Nokia delivers TETRA network system in China

Finnish telecomms solution provider Nokia said on Friday (31 October) that it would supply its digital TETRA professional mobile radio system to Shenzhen Metro Co Ltd in China.
Nokia said that it had also signed a cooperation contract with Shenzhen SEG Communication Co Ltd, the subcontractor for wireless subsystem.
The two companies would jointly construct the Shenzhen Metro TETRA network and provide services for Shenzhen Metro.
Under the contract, Nokia would provide Shenzhen Metro with its end-to-end solution, and would also provide delivery, installation and commissioning of all the TETRA system equipment as well as training and technical support.
Shenzhen SEG Communication would cooperate with Nokia to develop applications for the customer's system with the DXTip switch at the core.
