Teleste Oyj signs cooperation agreement with Essent Kabelcom

Finnish technology group Teleste Oyj said on Thursday (4 September) that it had signed a cooperation agreement with the Dutch cable operator Essent Kabelcom.
Under the agreement Teleste would develop and deploy IP-based data access technology for Essent Kabelcom's existing cable networks.
Teleste said that the technology would offer operators the possibility to expand the lifecycle of the present networks by more than 15 years with only limited changes to the network structure.
