Finnish ship power supplier and decentralized power generation systems provider Wartsila Corporation said on Thursday (26 August) that it had been contracted by the city of Unalaska in Alaska, US, to supply a power plant to meet the energy needs of the Port of Dutch Harbor.
Under the contract, Wartsila would deliver two Wartsila 32 generator sets producing a total output of approximately 10 MW.
The contract was valued at USD4.3m.
One US dollar (USD) is worth approximately 0.55 British pounds (GBP).
