The Swedish locks and locking solutions provider ASSA ABLOY AB said on Monday (13 December) that it had agreed to acquire the South Korean company Best Metaline for SEK60m.
BEST Metaline manufactures door and window fittings and automatic doors. It has some 60 employees and is expected to reach a turnover of SEK65m in 2004.
The acquisition represents ABBA ABLOY's entry on the Korean market.
One Swedish krona (SEK) is worth approximately 0.08 British pounds (GBP).
