Finnish engineering group KONE Corporation said on Friday (17 December) that its Extraordinary Shareholders' Meeting (EGM) had accepted the demerger plan under which KONE would split into two separate companies, KONE Corporation and Cargotec Corporation.
The demerger would enter into force when the execution of the demerger is registered in the Trade Register.
The planned date of registration is 31 May 2005, KONE said.
