Finish media group SanomaWSOY Corporation said on Wednesday (8 December) that its Rautakirja division had acquired a 51% majority holding in the Lithuanian press distribution company UAB Impress Teva.
The company delivers newspapers and magazines to more than 1,300 points of sale and is one of the most significant press distribution companies in Lithuania, according to SanomaWSOY.
Impress Teva had net sales of EUR8.4m in 2003, and has 106 employees.
The members of the family selling the company would continue in the employ of Impress Teva and would remain as minority shareholders in the company, SanomaWSOY said.
The acquisition price was not disclosed.
One euro (EUR) is worth approximately 0.70 British pounds (GBP).
