The Norwegian oil company Statoil ASA said on Wednesday (8 December) that its partner ChevronTexaco had reported a significant oil and gas discovery in the Rosebank/Lochnagar structure on the United Kingdom continental shelf.
Statoil holds a 30% interest in the licence which is operated by ChevronTexaco (40%). The other participants are OMV (20%) and Denmark's Dong (10%).
