Finnish technology group Teleste Corporation said on Thursday (9 December) that it had received an order for delivering a comprehensive end-to-end cable access network solution to a cable operator in Shuozhou, China.
Teleste would upgrade the existing network for providing interactive broadband data services and for launching digital TV applications.
Teleste said that Ekpac International, founded in Sweden, was its direct customer and the responsible contractor in the project. The order value would exceed EUR1.0m, and the delivery would take place during the first quarter of 2005, the company said.
Teleste and Ekpac had also agreed to continue the cooperation in creating financial opportunities in the Chinese market in the field of cable and video surveillance network projects.
One euro (EUR) is worth approximately 0.70 British pounds (GBP).
