NORDIC BUSINESS REPORT-24 February 2004-TietoEnator delivers software solution in Lithuania(C)1994-2004 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD http://www.m2.com
Finnish-Swedish IT company TietoEnator Corporation said on Tuesday (24 February) that it had signed a contract with Lithuanian bank NORD/LB Lietuva, a subsidiary of the German bank Norddeutsche Landesbank (NORD/LB), on the implementation of a software solution to optimise the processing of electronic payments at the bank.
TietoEnator would design and install a software interface between the bank's existing core banking and payment card systems, according to the company.
An on-line interface between the two systems would allow the bank to cut down operating costs due to having a homogeneous infrastructure for electronic payment processing, TietoEnator said.
The interface would also enable the bank to enhance its client service through advanced customer information management, the company added.
The value of the contract was not disclosed.
