The Norwegian government's aid agency Norad has reportedly pledged an additional USD600,000 to the Southern African Development Community (SADC).
The funds will go towards the organisation's restructuring process, including the development of its Regional Indicative Strategic Development Programme, according to the South African news service Sapa.
This is Norway's second donation to the SADC, following USD1.1m from Norad when restructuring began in 2001.
One US dollar (USD) is worth approximately 0.538 British pounds (GBP).
