Representatives of the US aircraft manufacturer Lockheed Martin will reportedly visit Denmark in March 2004 in order to discuss the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) project with Danish companies, the Confederation of Danish Industries (DI) and members of the Danish government.

The company is reportedly in the process of designing and developing a new combat aircraft JSF, which would replace the F-16 fleet in 10-15 years.

The Danish state and several domestic companies have invested in the development phase of the project, in order to generate orders for Danish industry.

Great Britain, Norway, Denmark and other NATO countries have pledged financial support to the development of the aircraft, reported the Danish news agency Ritzau.
