Scandinavian retail group ICA AB reportedly aims to reach a market leadership position in Norway and the Baltic states in the next three years.
ICA's chief executive Kenneth Bengtsson told Reuters that the company is planning to achieve growth through setting up new stores rather than through making acquisitions.
Bengtsson said that it was important to reach market leadership within three years because the company expects increased competition from rival retail chains such as Germany's Lidl and Aldi and global groups such as Wal-Mart, Tesco and Carrefour.
