Finnish-Swedish telecomms operator TeliaSonera AB said on Thursday (10 June) that it had decided to de-list from the US stock exchange NASDAQ Stock Market due to the costs and limited benefits.
Trading volumes on NASDAQ have been negligible compared to the trading on Sweden's Stockholm Stock Exchange and the Finnish stock exchange Helsinki Exchanges where the company is also listed.
TeliaSonera said that of the total traded volume during January-December 2003, 91.8% was in Stockholm, 7.9% in Helsinki and 0.3% at NASDAQ.
TeliaSonera would however continue to be registered with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, the company added.
