Swedish telecomms solutions provider Ericsson said on Tuesday (23 March) that it had signed a licence agreement with Japan-headquartered network business solutions provider NEC Corporation for Bluetooth software.
The agreement entailed the licensing of the Ericsson Core Bluetooth Software Stack B-C1 and B-C3.
Under the agreement, the Ericsson Core Bluetooth Software Stack B-C1 had been implemented in NEC's new 3G (third generation) mobile phone 616, according to Ericsson.
The agreement also included the licensing of Ericsson's recently announced Bluetooth 1.2 stack, the Ericsson Core Bluetooth Software Stack B-C3.
