Finnish telecomms solutions provider Nokia reportedly increased its sales in India by 97% in 2003.
The sales in India had increased to USD1.21bn, making India Nokia's second fastest growing market area, according to the newspaper Business Standard.
Sales in India accounted for 3.6% of Nokia's total sales, reported Bloomberg, quoted by the online edition of the Finnish business newspaper Kauppalehti.
One US dollar (USD) is worth approximately 0.547 British pounds (GBP).
