Petter Jansen, head of Scandinavian airline SAS's new SAS Braathens airline in Norway, has reportedly said that not all of the 4,500 employees in the two companies, SAS and Braathens, would have jobs after the merger.

The director had reportedly not offered any specific figures on how many employees would be made redundant.

Jansen had also said that the streamlined airline would offer cheaper seats for its passengers, reported the English online edition of the Norwegian newspaper Aftenposten.
