Nokia supplies network upgrade in Thailand

Finnish telecomms solutions provider Nokia said on Tuesday (11 May) that it had signed a contract with the Thai mobile multimedia services provider Total Access Communication Plc (DTAC) for the supply of high-capacity Nokia i-series Mobile Switching Centers (MSCi's) for DTAC's GSM/GPRS/EDGE 1800 core network.
DTAC would upgrade its entire core network to Nokia i-series (MSCi's), according to the company.
Nokia would also provide planning, installation, commissioning and integration services.
The value of the contract was not disclosed
