Swedish telecomms solutions provider Ericsson said on Thursday (25 November) that it had signed an agreement with the global customer relationship marketing company Proximity Worldwide, part of the BBDO Worldwide global advertising agency network, to jointly promote effective solutions for mobile marketing.
With 1.5 billion subscribers in the world's mobile networks, relationship marketing offers means of targeted communication through the mobile handset, according to the company.
Ericsson said that initially mobile infrastructure would be utilized as a marketing communications channel in Germany, Italy, Singapore and the US.
