Ericsson signs managed services contract in the Philippines

Swedish telecomms solutions provider Ericsson said on Wednesday (27 October) that it had signed a managed services contract with the Philippine mobile operator Sun Cellular, mobile brand of Digitel Mobile Philippines Inc, for the integration, implementation and hosting of a streaming service.
The service would allow Sun Cellular customers to enjoy an array of audio and video content on their mobile phones, the company said.
Ericsson would also be responsible for the aggregation and management of content for Sun Cellular's streaming service, as well as round-the-clock operation and maintenance of the hosted solution.
Ericsson said that it would provide the video streaming services on Sun Cellular's GSM network through its Ericsson Content Delivery System (ECDS).
