The Swedish space equipment supplier Saab Ericsson Space AB, a joint venture of Saab and Ericsson, said on Tuesday (5 October) that it had secured an order for a command and data handling system for the Galaxy 17 telecommunications satellite being built by Alcatel Space in France.
No financial details were disclosed.
Galaxy 17, which will handle television and telephone transmission over North America, will be operated by PanAmSat.
