Finnish board producer Stromsdal Corporation said on Tuesday (5 October) that it had signed an agreement with Finnish power and automation technology company ABB Oy, part of the Swiss-Swedish group ABB, regarding outsourcing of the Juankoski board mill's maintenance operations.
The common goal of the partnership agreement is to improve availability and cost efficiency of the production processes by developing the maintenance of the mill.
ABB Oy would take over the operations on 1 January 2005. At the same time the mill's maintenance personnel of 24 employees would continue as old employees at ABB.
