Finnish-Swedish IT company TietoEnator Corporation said on Thursday (16 September) that it had signed an agreement with the Finnish IT company Tekla Corporation for the acquisition of Tekla's customer information systems for the energy industry and the municipal sector.
The acquisition would cover Tekla's customer information and billing systems for the energy industry, municipalities and water utilities, i.e. the Tekla Forum, Efekto and EDM products in energy, and the Tekla Aqua and Community products for municipalities and water utilities.
As a result of the acquisition some 115 Tekla employees would transfer to TietoEnator, the company said.
The acquisition price was valued at EUR6m.
One euro (EUR) is worth approximately 0.68 British pounds (GBP).
