Norwegian telecomms group Telenor ASA, together with the Norwegian National Criminal Investigation Service (KRIPOS), introduced on Tuesday (21 September) a new filter against child pornography on the Internet.

The filter will prevent access to web sites containing sexual abuse of children.

Telenor will be responsible for the technical solutions while KRIPOS will provide updated lists of web sites that distribute such material.

The filter will be operative during October, and will apply to all of Telenor's Internet customers, both via dial-up lines and broadband.
