The Danish speciality vegetable fats and oils producer Aarhus United A/S is reportedly to be sold to the Chinese agriculture and chemicals group Gansu Yasheng Group.

According to the online edition of the Danish business daily Borsen negotiations are in their final phase, and are expected to be finalised during April.

The negotiations were confirmed by Gansu Yasheng Group's US unit which is handling the proposed deal.

The consideration is expected to be over DKK2bn.

Aarhus United is one of the world's largest producers of vegetable fats and oils. The group has 1,200 employees and an annual turnover of approximately DKK5bn.

One Danish krone (DKK) is worth approximately 0.09 British pounds (GBP).
