The Danish brewery group Carlsberg A/S said on Wednesday (27 April) that it had increased its holding in the Malaysian brewery Carlsberg Brewery Malaysia Berhad from 49.66% to 51%.
Carlsberg paid approximately USD6m for the shares.
"The transaction will not affect the management set-up in Carlsberg Brewery Malaysia Berhad," Carlsberg said.
One US dollar (USD) is worth approximately 0.52 British pounds (GBP).
