The Danish wind turbines manufacturer Vestas Wind Systems A/S said on Tuesday (5 April) that it had received a major new wind turbine order in the US.
The order, awarded by Zilkha Renewable Energy and PPM Energy Inc for their jointly-developed Maple Ridge Wind Farm in New York, covers 120 units of the V82-1.65 MW wind turbine.
The contract also includes a five-year service and maintenance agreement.
The value of the new order was not disclosed but Vestas Wind Systems said that it would not affect its expectations for 2005.
