Swedish embedded software developer Effnet AB said on Friday (12 August) that it had licensed its IP header compression software to QUALCOMM Inc.
The licence agreement enables QUALCOMM to integrate Effnet's software into future chipsets for its CDMA2000 1xEV-DO and WCDMA (UMTS) products.
The financial details of the agreement were not disclosed, but according to Hans Runesten, managing director of Effnet, the agreement represented a commercial breakthrough for its IP header compression technology.
