Swedish-Japanese telecomms solutions provider Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications AB (Sony Ericsson) has revealed its first UMTS/EDGE quad-band wireless PC Card.
The GC95 card offers extensive coverage and high speed data rates of up to 384kb/s on 3G UMTS networks or up to 247kb/s when on GSM/EDGE/GPRS networks, according to Sony Ericsson.
The GC95 will be available for operator acceptance testing and customer trials in the second quarter of 2005, with commercial availability following during the third quarter.
